A variation of the beautiful Shihtzu breed, Imperial Shihtzus make perfect companions, great friends and are a joy around children.
Delightful little dogs and smaller in size than standard Shihtzus, Imperial Shihtzus range in size when mature from 5-9lbs, however many settle between 6-7lb.
All of our Imperial Shihtzu puppies have been carefully bred from the best bloodlines; they are our own adorable pets which we chose carefully in the US. This means that they are all of impressive ancestry, of show conformation, with loving and loyal personalities.
Positive indicators of this perfect little breed include:
- Heavy boned, compact coby body
- Sturdy, muscular build with short legs
- Luxurious, double thick coats
- Sound bites
- Cute babydoll, flat faces
- Friendly, outgoing natures
Rare in the UK we have had to source our top quality blood lines from the US. All of our Imperial Shihtzus are KC (Kennel Club) and most of the mums and dadsĀ are AKC (American Kennel Club) registered.
We know that the time and effort we have invested in finding the ideal breeding Mums and Dads has clearly paid off every time we see the beautiful litters they produce and the stunning variety of colours the puppies are born with. Imperial Shihtzus can come in a striking assortment of colours inc. black, auburn, copper, champagne, cinnamon, chocolate to list just a few.
